As a elastomer, TPU is a kind of medium material between rubber and plastic, looking at its rigidity,measured by elasticity modulus, rubber is normally 1-10Mpa, TPU is 10-1000Mpa,plastic (PA, ABS, PC, POM) is 1000~10000Mpa. TPU has a wide range of hardness from Shore A 60 to Shore D 80, still has high elasticity; in a wide temperature range of-40-120℃ , TPU is still pliable, no need to add plasticizer; good resistance to oil( mineral oil, lubricant oil, animal and vegetable oil) and many solvents; either good resistance to weather, excellent resistance to high-energy ray; well-known abrasive resistance, tear resistance and yield strength are admirable; high tensile strength, big elongation, long-term compression permanent deformation rate is either low.
